Dermatology Consulting Services has clinical facilities able to conduct any type of research study addressing the needs of the skin, hair, and nails. Large clinical areas are available to accommodate 300 subjects at a time. In addition to subject and investigator assessment spaces, the research center has a compliment of temperature and humidity controlled rooms for noninvasive evaluation of skin transepidermal water loss, corneometry, elasticity, colorimetry, ultrasound, pH, and sebum measurements. D-squames and replicas can also be obtained, as well as swabs for microbiome analysis. Biopsies of skin for histology and genetic analysis can also be performed. Product analysis can be conducted in the analytical laboratory with LCMS. The research center also has rooms devoted to phlebotomy, electrocardiograms, and vital signs. One of the unique aspects of Dermatology Consulting Services is the ability to adapt to any study set-up required for execution of scientific research.
