We enroll many different studies. Some of our studies are new drug studies while others deal with the approval of generic medications. We even study cosmetic and skin care products. Each of our research projects is carefully administered and we have a list of criteria that must be met. This is why we must ask you questions about your skin, your age, your medical history, and your medications.
All of our studies are run on certain dates at our research center in High Point, North Carolina. We have found that people who live within 1 hour of the office find it easiest to come and visit with us for research. We have certain days and certain times when specific studies are conducted. It is very important to you are able to make all of your study visits. It is also important that you bring your bottles of medication with you to your visit or bring a list of your medications including the name, dose, and reason for taking the medication. We need your prescription medications, as well as any over-the-counter drugs you may be taking or vitamin supplements.
Please provide the information requested on this website so we may contact you. We will explain the details of the study to you, including the entry requirements, medical care that will be provided, the average time of your visit, and the honorarium. All of our studies provide compensation and all of the procedures are performed at no cost to you. We compensate you for your time and travel to our facility. Research is an important undertaking and we value your participation. Dr. Draelos is responsible for your care and she will see you at each visit. If you ever have any questions, please ask her as she is eager to answer.
